Na eerdere edities in het centrum van Hoensbroek vindt dit jaar de editie van What the Flag?! plaats in de binnenstad van Heerlen. Het team van Greylight Projects heeft samen met curator Sophie Delhasse een groep van internationale kunstenaars uitgenodigd om hun werk te verplaatsen naar de vlag. De vlaggen zijn dag en nacht op verschillende locaties te zien. Een kaart met de locaties staat op #mappingheerlen.

Naast de route in Heerlen is er parallel een uitwisseling van vlaggen tussen de verschillende organisaties, musea en kunstintellingen uit het Euregio netwerk Very Contemporary. Deze vlaggen zijn te bezichtingen op de locaties van de partners.

After earlier editions in the centre of Hoensbroek, this year’s edition of What the Flag? will take place in the centre of Heerlen. The team of Greylight Projects, together with curator Sophie Delhasse, invited a group of international artists to move their work to the flag. The flags can be seen day and night at different locations. A map with the locations can be found at #mappingheerlen.

In addition to the route in Heerlen, there is also a parallel exchange of flags between the various organisations, museums and art institutions in the Euregio network Very Contemporary. These flags can be viewed at the locations of the partners.
